Wednesday at CHA in Chicago

Spent the day walking the trade show floor, seeing all the newly released product. I thought I'd share a couple pictures.

How's this for a clever wreath? I know it's hard to think about winter paper when we are in the middle of a heat wave but this is a darn cute idea!
I took these because I thought the display was so beautiful!! These are the shades of Tim Holtz distress stains:

No reason, just liked the layout--especially the doily peeking out of the bottom:
Graphic 45 had a beautiful booth and I know many of you will be excited about this. Wizard of Oz--but done in the retro Graphic 45 style:

Another no reason, just liked the layout!
How cute are these butterflies? Half the fun of the show is getting inspiration from the samples in the booths:
Lynne wanted me to let you know these are coming soon from Penny Black...absolutely lovely stamps for Christmas:
Hope to have more pics from Carrie to post in the next couple days.

It's CHA time!

The Craft & Hobby Association annual trade show is this week. We are headed up to Chicago to see what's new and coming soon to the store. I promise to take pictures and will post here so check back to see what's new!

For your beach pictures

We have some beautiful beachy products in for you.
On the right is a cool set of clear stamps and on the left are the companion images but these are masks.
They are designed to work with the mists -- lots of new colors are in the store.
When you open the package, you'll find 3 masks. They are made of a nice heavy plastic and are easy to wash once you are done. You'l be able to use these over and over again whether you are misting over them or using inks or paints.
Just lay the mask on your paper and spray. Once you take the mask up, you'll be left with a beautiful watercolor looking image. These make perfect backgrounds for your beach pages--or you could even journal over the top of this. Tons of options when you try playing with these!

Your Garden

This set of chipboard flowers has so many flowers in it you could make so many different projects with it!

Which got me thinking about a layout idea...
If your flowers are in bloom or your garden is finally starting to give you tomatoes--take some beautiful pictures and make a layout about it! The round die cut at the bottom that looks like a doily is a Sizzix die and is embossed with a Tim Holtz embossing folder--used it again on the mats for the pictures. Added a few flowers from the set above and there you have it!

Great Impressions Stamps and some card ideas

The new sample board of cards + all the stamps are here from Great Impressions. We've got a sewing theme going on this time with lots of cute images:As always, buy any one of their stamps and get the Stamp of the Month half off. This time it's this cute patchwork one. It's only $4.99 when you buy another stamp at full price.
Also wanted to show you a couple cards Carla made with this chipboard sticker set from Creative Imaginations. She used pop dots to give the flowers lots of dimension.

Pretty colors and she made these 2 cards and had tons left over. That's the great thing about these sticker sets--for you cardmakers especially, you'll get a lot of mileage out of a small investment!
