Basic Grey Monthly Layout Class

I wanted to share some images with you on this new addition to our monthly line up.
Each month we'll be hosting this class using Basic Grey product. You'll make TWO LAYOUTS AND A CARD for $25!!! Plus Carrie tells me that in your kit, you will have TONS of left overs to create even more. So bottom line? This is a great deal. Normally, we'll do this class the last weekend of the month, but since in May this is Memorial Day weekend we'll be doing the first one Sunday June 6th. Then we'll do the next one Sunday June 27th (wait till you see the sample on that one--she gave me a little peek tonite--check back here at the blog!)

So anyway, here are pics of the June 6th class. Layout #1: Layout #2:

Here's a close-up on that bottom right -- I love the flowery transparency and the little canvas tag. Carrie said you have tons of leftovers on both of these to make more beautiful stuff!

And here's all 3 parts. Both layouts and the card which also has a cool flower transparency (click on pic to see detail).

Call soon to sign up as we will have limited numbers on these kits.

Chipboard

We all love the look of chipboard on our pages. It adds a wonderful dimension to layouts. Obviously, you can paint it, ink it, mist it, but what about covering it with paper?
Here's how...first the supplies you need: Trace the letter onto the paper by adhering it upside down:
Trim the excess paper away with an exacto--makes it easier to get into the small spaces. Sand the edges to give your newly covered peice a nice professional use.

Unsanded, the piece will have sharp and torn looking edges.

Sanded, it looks much more professional. Using cardstock with a white core gives and even better look.

This precision file set is perfect for this type of work. Made by Basic Grey, it has 6 files to help you get inside all the nooks and crannies.
