Bling

Look at all these rhinestones we have in from Jolees: We have all different colors and sizes so you can add sparkle to your pages and cards. They have flat backs so they are easy to glue on.

Here's an example of a card I made with them. The heart with wings and crown is the new Tim Holtz Sizzix die--I figured a crown needed some jewels, right? I embossed the pieces with another Tim Holtz product--texture plates.

Kids Kamp

Look at these beautiful books the girls made in Kids Kamp 102--great job!!!

Random Inspiration Day

Just some ideas to share with you today.
First up is this banner. This was done using the Maya Road chipboard banner pieces and TONS of beautiful embellishments. It is truly a work of art!
Speaking of Maya Road, we are big fans of their decorative and scalloped envelopes. This is a clever use for them---as a journaling block: And here as part of the page title:

This page has several inspiration pieces I wanted to show you. At the top is yet another Maya product--chipboard butterflies. Also, love the use here of several of the EK border punches. A Maya envelope shows up here just as an embellishment:

Here's a good example of grunge paper. If you haven't tried it yet, you should! You can curl it like in this flower and it will maintain that shape forever:

Here's a couple of ideas using Tim Holtz Sizziz dies:

The sign die is beautiful here and so is another of those EK border punches--see it at the bottom with the seashells?

Thinking outside the box

So you know we have in all the new Tim Holtz Sizzix dies. Check out the one in the middle row, all the way to the right, it's called a keyhole mover and shaker: Now would you ever have thought to turn that on it's side and create something that looks like this????
BEAUTIFUL card by Jennifer. And don't you love when you see something like that---thinking outside the box.

Jillibean Inspiration

As you know from yesterday's post, we got truly inspired by some of Jill's layouts from Jillibean Soup when she taught here last weekend. I LOVE this paper from her new line, Summer Squash Soup. I used one of her layouts as a jumping off point, and just switched things up a bit! I just cut around a strip of the chinese lanterns and put a large pop dot behind each one to give it some dimension, and then adhered them on a curve:
The bows are tied with another new product around here......baker's twine. Don't you love how it comes on a wooden spool?

Kids Kamp at Scrapadoodle

Our annual Kids Kamp is fast approaching. Dates are June 22-25.
Kamp is for kids age 9-15 and meets for 4 days.
The morning hours (10-12) are devoted to our 101 students. This is the intro level for kids to learn basic scrapbooking. Class includes the album, adhesive, marker, storage tote and supplies to create 4 double layouts + a bonus page. Here's a peek at the album the kids will create:

Afternoon sessions will be for our 102 students--kids who have mastered the basics but want to improve on those skills. 102 students will meet from 1-2:30 each day and will create this AWESOME chipboard album:

Don't you love this clear pocket full of tags??

We've already heard several times from adults who want to make this album!! So get your kids signed up soon so they can create something they'll treasure forever! Cost for either the 101 or the 102 is $60.

A Couple of Projects

You have to see this!! Teresa took this little kit........... and made THIS!! Beautiful don't you think? The pretty paper is Basic Grey (Capella line). The knobs come in the kit.

Here's a close-up so so you can see the rub-ons/bling that she added. Those are Basic Grey as well. This would be a beautiful way to store your supplies, jewelry, whatever!!
Then, as you know we have ALL the new Tim Holtz embossing folders in. I'm so impressed by how deeply they emboss!! Here's a layout I did using the Bingo card one and then I just inked the raised impression a bit to make it stand out more.
