Acrylic Stamps

If you are like me, you've got tons of acrylic stamps in a pile somewhere: This is the answer for organizing those stamps:

From Making Memoires comes this binder. Here's how it looks when you open it:

Inside are these pocket folders. It comes with 5 but you can buy refills.

Just slide your stamps into the pockets

And snap the pockets back in to the binder:

Now your stamps are organized- much better than all piled together in a box somewhere!

Mailbox

It's not too soon to think about Valentine's Day and here's a place to keep your Valentines. The mailbox is naked chipboard from Maya Road. I covered it with Daisy D's paper and added the 7 gypsies knob. The best part are the Daisy D's rub-ons--those hearts and circles look like paint or a stamp don't they? Nope, they are rub-ons, so it's perfect every time! The mailbox even comes with a little mini album inside in the shape of a postage stamp.

Love Notes

We have this whole new line in from Making Memories and it is truly fabulous. Tons of cool embellishments with this. They have these little page pebbles called Looking glass that are new to Making Memories. Also, neat little stickpins--these look so fun sticking through the knot on any ribbon you might have on your page. Also included are some shaped papers (like the top left one) that are hugely popular, and lots of shimmer and glitter.

Paper Piecing Class

Here's the layout Carrie will be teaching his month in her class. The picture doesn't do it justice--it's so cute. The trees have an embossed texture on them and are then dusted with "snow." Love those little details. Sign up to join her on Tuesday January 20 from 6-8. $15

Doodleprints

Our very own paper line, Doodleprints, has been selling like crazy! Here's a layout I created with 2 of the January pages. The right side is just the back of the printed January paper. I punched the edges of the mats with a Martha Stewart border punch, and cut the "2009" out on the Cricut.
We'd LOVE to see what you are creating with our paper. Bring it in the store and let us take a picture or email it to us at blogmylayout@yahoo.com so we can post them here. We've been getting such great response that you love it so let's see some projects you've done with it!

Ruthie's letters

After we posted the beautiful letters (see post below) we had requests for instructions so here's how it's done!

Decorative Wall Letters

Supply List:
*Provo Craft Wooden Letters
*Acrylic Paint(Making Memories or Paint Daubers work great)
*Adhesive(Glossy Accents, Mod Podge, KI liquid, etc.)
and foam brush for application
*Papers and Embellishments(Ruth used Basic Grey)
*Sanding tools (Basic Grey)

Paint the edges of all the letters and let them dry. Don’t worry if you get paint on the top....this will be covered.
Apply a layer of adhesive to the letters and cover just the top of the letters with the papers you have chosen. Rub them down nice and tight.
Now, use the sanding tools to remove the excess paper from the edges.
Embellish as desired. It’s fun to pick a paper line and use the embellishments that coordinate with it!!!
