Shaped Sports Paper

How fun are these sports papers?! Not only are they round but they are textured as well--the tennis ball paper actually feels like a tennis ball, the golf paper has dimples--a fun twist to jazz up all those sporting event pages. Doing a 2 page layout?? Just slice these in half and place one on each side of your layout.

Project 12 class

Lisa is offering her Project 12 class on Sunday, February 28 from 1:00-3:00. Join her as she uses the cute, cute Bo Bunny Persuasion line. It looks like there are lots of layers of paper in this layout, but Lisa will show you how to cut frames out of the paper to maximize your paper usage. She will also show you how she used the Gypsy to get the border of mixed hearts, and how she embossed some flourishes to spice them up a bit. Martha Stewart's heart border punch adds an elegant finishing touch. You can see the one-page layout here, but don't forget that you will also make a two-page layout, and a card using more frames and folds. Come let Lisa share her tips and inspiration for February and see what she does with her leftovers. Get some layouts created and get inspired!!!

We set up a little area just for you glitter-aholics. It's crazy how you girls love glitter!! So now we have it all in one little section right near the front door--and believe me--you won't miss it! We have in a full palette of colors right now but they will fly out the door.

New to our store is Jillibean paper. I saw this on their website and thought it was so cute! And yes, we have both the polka dot and the car paper!

Jillian is back!

We had so much fun at Jillian's January class and we are thrilled that she's coming back in February. Here's how she describes this next one:

I'll be teaching another class at Scrapadoodle on Feb 24th. It will be a two hour mini-album called Today. Students will be challenged to take 8-10 photos of their life in one single day. This could be your child eating at the breakfast table, your morning coffee, or your computer at work! We'll use Claudine Hellmuth paints again in springy colors as well as some fun American Crafts cardstock. I'll also be talking more about gel medium and how you can use it for an acrylic album.

If you are interested in taking the class give the store a call at: 309-691-5152. If you'd like to see the sample in person, stop by the store and check it out.

We are back from Anaheim, for the annual CHA (Craft & Hobby Association) trade show. Watch for all the new product that will start arriving in the store! One of my favorite parts about visiting the booths at CHA is to get page layout ideas. All the companies use their best designers and pull out all the stops to show off their new products. I wanted to share with you some of my favorites from last week: LOVE the varity of butterflies used here:

Speaking of butterflies, this one (so sorry about the blur) was amazing and we have all these coming!! Wait till you see them in person--each one has rhinestones....

From Wendy the saying on the stamp...hilarious!

This one is so simple but I was impressed with the stitching across the letters--clever:

What a great idea for that old circle punch you haven't been using.....who thinks of this stuff?? I absolutely love this:

These are chipboard dress froms from Maya Road and coming soon to Scrapadoodle!

Paper flowers using distress inks from Tim Holtz...including the new colors he launched at the show:

Just a little eye candy for you to get inspired.
